A Word of Welcome

Welcome

The cottage at 752 E Park has stood on this ground since 1927 — the year Lindbergh crossed the Atlantic and Babe Ruth hit sixty, when Mr. Coolidge kept the White House and the Great War was nine summers past. Families came up from Indianapolis and Chicago by rail then, and stayed the whole season. Very nearly a hundred years on, the idea is unchanged: slow down, get outside, and let the lake set the pace.

The owners before us made their improvements over the decades, and we carry the work on — a good deal of it with our own hands. Modern comforts, kept character. Should there be anything you wish to know about the house, or about a stay, write to us — we would far rather answer a question than leave one hanging.

Should You Care to Stay

Book directly with the house, and dispense with the middleman.

  1. INo Service Fees Write to us with your dates. The price quoted is the price paid — no platform takes its portion.
  2. IIDealing Directly You write to the people who keep the house — not a help line. Questions are answered by someone who knows where the light switches are.
